Since discovering the world of Harp Guitars 15 years ago Jon Pickard has become one of the leading figures on this incredible instrument. A lifetime of multi-instrumentalist performing, specialising at different times in Classical Guitar, Electric & Folk Fusion, Jazz & Classical Piano and more, prepared Jon to explore this most magnificent and rare instrument.

At the concert in Shaftesbury Jon will be playing a mix of music composed by himself and others for Harp Guitar, inspired by mythological folk tales from the Celtic world and beyond. Influences of Folk, Classical and Esoteric Spirituality combine to create a truly unique experience.

Jon also works in the medium of video and has created rich video backdrops for most of his show, which play alongside each tune adding to the mystique. You will hear tales of Celtic Saints, Welsh Giants, Eastern Mystics and much more.

After graduating as a Classical Guitarist in 2005 Jon enjoyed a busy and varied career as performer, teacher and composer ? and then he discovered Harp Guitars. His creativity exploded and he dived head first into the new and exciting possibilities presented. Designing his own unique models of Harp Guitar in search of new musical horizons enabled him to create new music and stunning sound textures that breath life into his musical ideas and inspirations.

He has toured and given concerts & talks across the UK, and in France & Germany and the USA.
