Get transported back in time to primary school assembly! Singing our little hearts out to songs about God, love, family and hammers.
But this time, you don't need to sit on the floor and there's a bar...
Oh, and you don't need to raise your hand if you need to go to the toilet.
Join us on Good Friday 29th March 2024 for a sing-a-long event of biblical proportion. Featuring live piano (and things from the percussion box) by me (Sean) and a handful of very special guest musicians.
We've lovingly handpicked a raft of pure Christian Kid Classics for your delight and can't wait to jog the memorys as ours have been putting this show together.
"Oh, Christ!", you'll exclaim excitedly, "I'd forgotten THIS ONE!"
This is a Ticket ONLY event (like High-Falutin and Eurovision Night etc), so we can all enjoy the sing-a-long unperturbed by waifs and strays...!
Doors: 8pm
Assembly bell: 9pm
Lunch bell (Interval): 10pm
Assembly Pt 2: 10:30pm
School Disco: 11:30-2am
Bring your own recorder fot the interval. Don't worry if you can't remember how to play it. We have a slide for that too!
As it's Easter we'll be dishing out a bit of Wine, biscuits & chocolate to spur you on as you ride into C 0f E battle! KUM BA-YAH!
We really really like music. We like putting on music events. We also really really like really nice people so we opened an independent venue to give a home to good live music and generally lovely folk. We span many genres. All of them in fact - at least we’re trying to - yes, even Jazz!
We’re friendly, cosy, alternative and intimate. We are a music venue for musicians.
We also do poetry nights, quizzes...you get the gist.
We much prefer original bands. We don’t mind a few covers thrown in but unless you’re offering something quite bonkers & original then it’s generally a no for covers.
Claptrap is 1st floor venue & bar, catering for live music, entertainment, theatre, poetry, quizzes & jazz. (Occasionally hired for private functions).
Not your usual venue - it has Chesterfield sofas, wingback chairs and frilly lampshades aplenty!
An extensive range of bottled and canned craft beers are available incl. Kona, Mongozo, Beavertown, Dark Arts, Siren, Wild Beer Co.
On draught - Freedom 4 Lager, Freedom Pale Ale, Thatchers Old Rascal Cider.
