Incendiary! Ed. 5 Weekly on a Thursday at Spice of Life Soho.
The Molotovs host a weekly residency at Soho's iconic and well-loved music venue Spice of Life and introduce hot acts on the UK circuit. This time though, with a shake-up...
A.R.T host this week's edition with Matt from THE MOLOTOVS supporting with an acoustic set!
Doors 6.30pm. Matt 7.30pm. A.R.T 9pm.
A.R.T: Confidently strolling a line between indie funk, rock and Bowie-glam, whisked together with the charm like Madness and The Hives, A.R.T have been taking the London music scene by storm with their incredible live shows that?ll even get the shy guy at the back of the room chanting. Formed in 2018, A.R.T focus on bringing a new unique energy to the stage in the form of a funkadelic party. Dressing up venues in glamorous colours and controlling crowds with bold charismatic frontmanship, A.R.T get even the most guilty of feet dancing with sexy sax riffs and funky bass lines.
The band that was quoted ?Bowie meets The Killers? by KISS FM include frontman Alfie Clayton (aka Lewis Lambrini) who has spent every second of his adult life touring and playing in multiple bands - up to 12 at one time! Alfie was the drummer of The Skinner Brothers, until recently leaving to follow his gut and pursue his love for fronting his own band. As well as being a frontman, Alfie has toured with artists Kasabian, The Streets, Noel Gallagher and Johnny Marr as a drummer/performer.
THE MOLOTOVS: London-based band The Molotovs are arguably the hardest working young band in the UK and show no signs of slowing down. Smashing out, and selling out, live music venues in the UK and abroad has earnt them a reputation of being hell-bent on instigating a new youth explosion in rock music. Sharp, punchy originals delivered with highly charged stagecraft that leaves absolutely nothing in the dressing room and resonates with a vast eclectic audience of those who know about music.
From performing at grassroots dives to support slots with the likes of The Libertines and Blondie, not to mention being name checked by Green Day?s Billie Joe Armstrong in a crowd of 90,000, The Molotovs are very much on the rock radar. With influences spanning British greats such as The Who, Clash and Jam, all the way through to Oasis and Arctic Monkeys, their own sound is being tipped for big things. Get out and see this electrifying band in action if you want future bragging rights.
Tonight's gig will feature Matt giving an acoustic set of covers and originals.
