Description

Best described as 'youth meets experience', Andy Panayi's Boptet is a 6-piece band featuring some young rising jazz stars in the UK, plus Chris Coull on trumpet and Andy leading on alto sax. With a repertoire of mainly classic hard bop tunes from the likes of Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Oliver Nelson and others, the music has been specially arranged by Andy and leaves plenty of room for soloing of the highest standard. Up and coming musicians Dan Cartwright (Sax), Tim Wells (piano), Rhys Lovell (bass) and Alex Pitt (drums).
