An open singing event for the whole community. Join Maurice for our festival finale to learn some soul soothing melodies and harmonies. Lets make a great big joyous sound together!!

This is a free event but tickets must be booked and are limited. Anyone who buys tickets for other festival events will be guaranteed a place, but must email info@musickin.co.uk to confirm their attendance. If you wish to only attend the Big Sing limited tickets will be available from mid February, but must be booked!
This event is open to children 10 years plus if they want to participate in the singing and are accompanied by an adult.

Maurice Kelly is a choral director, orchestra conductor, animateur and highly skilled pedagogue and workshop facilitator from Derry in the Northwest of Ireland. With an impressive and diverse range of experience spanning almost 30 years, he has established a strong reputation locally and nationally while continuing to grow his international profile.

His current roles include Musical and Artistic Director of Orchestra NorthWest, Allegri Ladies and Allegri Junior choirs and also Creative Director of the city's Every Voice Festival a community-based festival offering dynamic music experiences for singers and audiences in the North West region of Ireland with the ethos that ?every voice matters?

He is a founding member of the World Choral Conductors Network, a member of the UK-based MD Brunch collective.
He has trained with organisations such as the European Academy of Young Choral Conductors, Choral Music Experience Institute, Europa Cantat, Association of British Choral Directors and Amy Bebbington's Choral Leadership and Pedagogy series. He is also a member of CHORALSPACE - International Academy for Choral Arts.
