Very excited to be bringing France's Cosse to town for a night of art and noise! Their album It Turns Pale is an incredible piece of work, can't wait to see its epic scale in the Library's little basement! They'll be joined by semi-local alt/math rockers The Waater Chestnuts and sludge pop disco trudgers Sinews.

Cosse

Oscillating between lush post-rock and noise, Cosse deal in intertwining harmonies and flowing magma-like rivers of feedback that swallow the listener in their dense cloud. Packed with the echoes of raw vocals, their music has an inherent sensibility and a shocking fragility. Girl Band, Slint and Sonic Youth are influences close at hand. If you listen carefully, Cosse will leave you deeply moved. less

The Water Chestnuts

The Water Chestnuts are a 5-piece alternative/math-rock band from London. Formed in 2023, we play a tasty mix of fiddly and pretty riffs. Sort of like American Football but with sass. The band is Josh, Kieran, Maddy, Nick, and Tom.

Sinews

Sinews are a post-hardcore/noise rock band from Oxford. The band have played a number of shows with the likes of Cassels, Other Half, Beige Palace, and Shake Chain. The band was born out of the ashes of Brian and Rich's previous band Hertz, recruiting Luke from Spank Hair/Worry/Spring Major/Daisy on drums, and Thomas Instone from Egrets in on guitar. The band have been described by Nightshift Magazine as a 'cathartic blast of unfettered discontent and distortion', with a 'surprising ear for a tune despite vocals delivered with the angry belch of a killer whale with a hangover'. Fans of Fugazi, Drive Like Jehu, Mclusky and METZ might enjoy them.
