The Velvet Sheep presents 'Moth to the flame - a candlelit soiree'.

Maud the Moth is the solo project of Spanish-born and Scotland-based pianist, singer and songwriter Amaya
López-Carromero. Maud the Moth serves as Amaya?s alter ego: a séance-like conduit through which to process
personal life experiences, and in particular themes of rootlessness, identity and trauma. Stylistically, Maud the moth
uses her classical training as a platform upon which her eclectic songwriting and cathartic solo live performances
rest. With the usage of live looping, Amaya weaves sonic tapestries riddled with distorted or effected pianos and
driven by an enigmatic and deeply moving voice.

Joining her will be The Silver Reserve, weaving a melancholy and fiercely personal web of honest, beautiful dark-folk, often using loops and effects to create a patient, hypnotic drama that is entirely immersive.

Our special guest for the evening is Beck Stacey, who's dark, witchy folk-tales and captivating performance will ensure this is a soiree absolutely not to be missed :-)
