terrace cred. presents:
Sam Carter, 'the finest English-style fingerpicking guitarist of his generation' (Jon Boden) with a ?killer voice? (Ivor Novello- winning musician Nitin Sawhney) returns with his fifth studio album and a prized few solo showcase dates supporting the release. We snapped him up for a Brighton date.
Over the course of his fifteen-year career, Sam has earned a reputation for vivid, narrative-driven songwriting 'as penetrating as Richard Thompson?s best work' (Uncut) and as a highly regarded instrumentalist.
Sam's impressive back catalogue and captivating live shows attest to his ability to bring together a diverse set of influences from English folksong and American shapenote singing through to hard rock. Sam has made appearances on national TV, won a BBC Folk Award, and has toured the world, sharing stages with many of folk?s leading lights.
A chance to catch him in an intimate setting, prior to a band outing later in the year (and we're poised to fix that one, too, if we can...).
