The seeds of British modern soul band Stone Foundation were sown in the early ?90s when Neil Sheasby and Neil Jones met.

Over the years they?ve collaborated with Paul Weller, Nolan Porter, Graham Parker, Carleen Anderson, Mick Talbot, Kathryn Williams, Laville, Melba Moore, Hamish Stuart, Dr. Robert from the Blow Monkeys
and more.

The 8-piece Midlands-based Soul band Stone Foundation celebrate an incredible 25 years of success. Known for their collaborative spirit and inclusive approach, the band team up regularly with Paul Weller who sings lead on a number of their songs. He has worked with them frequently across the last decade, on both the Stone Foundation catalogue and his own solo work.

The band are established, but never the establishment. Stone Foundation may be ten studio albums in and marking 25 years together, but they still feel like the underdog.

Description

Stroud Subscription Rooms is the leading venue in the Stroud District. Presenting a wide range of performances and events including music and gigs of all genres, theatre, comedy, dance and spoken word. We also hold a number of community based events such as The Stroud Book Festival, Stroud Wassail, Christmas Goodwill and offer classes & workshops and a range of exhibitions throughout the year.

The venue is also available to hire for performances and events, conferences and corporate events as well as private parties and wedding receptions.

Here are the Subscription Rooms we are home to Mr Twitchett's Coffee house and bar. The café is open Monday-Saturday: 10am-3.30pm serving a range of Jacket Potatoes, Toasties and Sandwiches and snacks for you to enjoy.
