THE MOLOTOVS: London-based band The Molotovs are arguably the hardest working young band in the UK and show no signs of slowing down. Smashing out, and selling out, live music venues in the UK and abroad has earnt them a reputation of being hell-bent on instigating a new youth explosion in rock music. Sharp, punchy originals delivered with highly charged stagecraft that leaves absolutely nothing in the dressing room and resonates with a vast eclectic audience of those who know about music.
From performing at grassroots dives to support slots with the likes of The Libertines and Blondie, not to mention being name checked by Green Day?s Billie Joe Armstrong in a crowd of 90,000 (and by him on Chris Moyle's Radio X show!), The Molotovs are very much on the rock radar. With influences spanning British greats such as The Who, Clash and Jam, all the way through to Oasis and Arctic Monkeys, their own sound is being tipped for big things. Get out and see this electrifying band in action if you want future bragging rights.

SOAKED: After realising their lack of talent in math, science, and most academic subjects, as well as their unlikely chances of becoming the next Ronaldo, Soaked discovered their true calling in music. Founded by Brandon Frisby in 2022, the indie-punk band quickly expanded with the addition of Ronnie Cochrane on bass and Alex Newman on drums. Influenced by legendary British punk and indie bands like The Jam and Arctic Monkeys, Soaked create a powerful and authentic sound that resonates with their growing fan base within the London music scene. With over 100 gigs under their belt, supporting bands such as Bilk, The Molotov?s, The Rolling People, and many more, and performing live shows from Brighton to Edinburgh and everywhere in-between, Soaked are ready to take the UK music scene by storm. Their EP, recorded at Abbey Road Studios and Sick Note Production, is set for release in February, further solidifying their presence. With their engaging live performances, continuous touring and new music releases, Soaked are ready to hold the torch and become one of the most exciting up-and-coming indie-punk bands in the country.

Description

A pub and music bar on the perimeter of Cambridge Circus, at the corner of Romilly Street and Moor Street. First licensed in 1686 as the George, the current building dates from 1898 and the current name from 1986. (One of the old names, Cantons, can be seen being held by one of the gargoyles on the top of the building).

Famous in the 1960s and 70s for folk music and then punk, latterly it has become a jazz venue and home to SpiceJazz club. Up to 5 real ales from the McMullen range on offer and free admission to the main bar but you may have to pay for some music gigs in the basement.

Upstairs at the Spice is for drinks, eats and good times. Enjoy Great British classics with special seasonal dishes prepared daily by our chefs.
