Our beautiful night of alternative comedy is back for March with something for everyone.
Booking recommended, it?s a small venue and we often sell out.. let?s meet the acts!
The astonishing Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue (pictured) have been described as a ?visual version of Tim Vine on speed?, 'Lightning fast choreography meets uber swift editing in a fantasmagorical collision of quality entertainment. An overload of velvet, sandals and multi-hued wool provides a startling accompaniment, the whole effect being that of a slim man and a fat man putting their bums in your face?.
What the papers say:
"This is comedy that reminds us why we go out to see live shows. And it wears its incredible skill, its labour-intensity and its comic genius so lightly one might think it is just a bit of silliness. Kate Copstick The Scotsman
?Absolutely hilarious? Viz
?A mad, anarchic triumph of stupidity over style. Not to be missed? The Guardian
?Wonderful, innovative and endearing? Brighton Argus
You can relax, it?s going to be utterly brilliant (again).
Next up, Ben Moor. A rare treat for us in Eastbourne, for the first time here, Ben Moor will be performing bits from his shows old and new, as well as readings from his back-catalogue.
Funny, thoughtful, surreal; his writing is always surprising and inspiring.
Ben has been described as ?An English Wes Anderson. . . his dulcet tones are a paintbrush, filling his world with a bright pastel colour palette.? (Broadway World)
His screen credits include The Queen?s Gambit and The Capture, and his books include More Trees to Climb and Who Here?s Lost?
We are delighted to be inviting a local performer (Brighton or LeWWWWWWWWERSSSSSSSSS) to join us for some good old stand up.
