Description

A Mighty Fall from Grace:
A Mighty Fall From Grace follows the life of a Bradford Bulls fan, whom over several years watches his club deteriorate on and off the field and who?s mental health deteriorates throughout as a result. This hard-hitting piece tackles subjects of depression and schizophrenia in a relatable, working class way, with light-hearted, comedic moments throughout.

The one hander won best play at a showcase event at the Lowry theatre in Salford in 2019, before being picked up by Bradford Based theatre company Bloomin' Buds and embarking on a national tour including the Brighton Fringe and a full month run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022.

Burned Out:
Burned Out follows a nurse who is barely making ends meet. When the foodbank she has been relying on to feed her family loses its main benefactor, Becky makes it her mission to find who is responsible and hold them to account. After a sordid game of cat and mouse, selflessness ultimately prevails, proving our NHS is more than worth fighting for. Burned Out! tells a highly topical and currently relevant story, underpinned by a few universal morals that are easy to lose sight of, but always worth remembering.

Following up the success of A Mighty Fall from Grace, Jake and his team also took Burned Out to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023, receiving fantastic reviews and sell out audiences. They are ecstatic to bring both these pieces of work to Bawtry and hope you can join them for this blockbuster double header!
