Description

Sam Brothers is a young singer-songwriter and folksinger now living in Canterbury. He was discovered while busking in Brighton, a wandering troubadour that calls to mind the Soho and Greenwich Village coffee bar scene in the late 60?s and early 70?s.
His guitar playing is confident and complex, reflecting the many influences on his music; from Leadbelly to Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan. Bert Jansch can be heard in his guitar style while the influences of Tim Buckley, Pete Seeger and, in particular, Nick Drake loom large.
This show is part of the launch tour for Sam's fine new EP, 'The Folksinger', and Sam will be joined on the night by special guest Dick Taylor on guitar. As a founding member of the Rolling Stones and cult rock group The Pretty Things, Dick has gained an array of admirers over the years from Dave Gilmour to Van Morrison.

This is definitely one not to be missed. !
