Join us for ?A NIGHT OF COUNTRY AND NORTHERN? as two of Wirral?s most popular acoustic acts, Tennessee Waltz and Gerry French, make a welcome joint return to Thornton Village Club.

Tennessee Waltz are singer songwriters Jimmy Rae and Sarah-Lou Fletcher, whose trademark vocal harmonies, stirring ballads and good time country toe-tappers have won them a loyal following across the North West. Accompanied by Tom Hutchinson on keyboards and Dave Buckley on cajon, they?ll be performing songs from their most recent album ?A Different Road? including Under the Mersey Moon, Jimmy?s epic love song to Liverpool and the inspiration for a new stage musical which makes its debut at The Floral Pavilion, New Brighton in February 2025.

After teaming up with Harry Lowrey - founder member of the legendary Stormalong John shanty band, Gerry Ffrench has performed in folk clubs and festivals all over the Northwest and Midlands. Her Road May Rise CD was the Live Album of the Year on BBC Radio Merseyside?s Folkscene in 2022 and her songs, which fuse folk and country will have you singing along irresistibly. Good friends of THVC, Gerry and Harry are looking forward to returning after their sell out gig last year.
