GENESIS PIANO PROJECT : 2 NIGHTS IN LONDON ? 19th & 20th November 2024
The Genesis Piano Project is NOT another tribute band, but classic Genesis tunes interpreted on classical piano. After the sold out show last year, the Project is returning to Piano Smithfield for 2 nights this November, with a different support on each night.
GENESIS PIANO PROJECT came to fruition when US pianists Angelo Di Loreto and Adam Kromelow met as classmates at the Manhattan School of Music.
The vast compositions of Genesis have diverse song structures that switch effortlessly from haunting, whispered melodies to intense rock-outs. Hearing the arrangements of the Genesis Piano Project can at times sound like classical piano music, but at others can make audiences feel as if they are listening to a live rock band.
This project has captivated audiences, both Genesis fans and newcomers alike, performing at some of the best Steinway Piano showrooms and galleries in the United States. Their videos soon attained international recognition and have now accumulated over 1 million views.
In 2015, the Genesis Piano Project released their first live EP entitled Live in Italy. And in October of 2021, they released their first full-length album which was recorded at the Charterhouse School in Godalming, England - the boarding school where the members of Genesis attended as teenagers and formed the band. Very sadly, Angelo passed away in 2020, and since then Adam has carried on the project as a solo act in Angelo's loving memory.

Support STORM DEVA (19th November) : Storm Deva combines rock, classical, folk and world influences into a set of unique songs with lyrics rich in natural imagery. The band comprise composer/singer/pianist Carollyn Eden and guitarist Stuart Clark.
First meeting in 2012, they discovered their shared passion for music and the natural world, but it was only in 2017 that they made the decision to form a band. Working together on the music, they developed the rich harmonic world of Storm Deva.
Originally recorded with a five-piece band, the songs are brought to life for support slots by Carollyn and Stuart in special acoustic arrangements.
