Don Roberto (RB Cunninghame Graham, 1852-1936) was one of the most influential and paradoxical figures of late 19th/early 20th century Scottish public life. A founding influence in both the Scottish Labour Party and the Scottish National Party, he was also a writer, horseman, traveller, adventurer, internationalist and humanitarian.
Join us for a Sunday morning tour of his ancestral home, Gartmore House and grounds, led by his great-great-nephew, Robin Cunninghame Graham. Following the tour there will be a short talk about Don Roberto's Scottish short stories and sketches. A light lunch will be available by donation.
This follows a day of talks on Saturday 11th entitled Don Roberto and Scotland: International Perspectives, at the Smith Stirling Museum & Art Gallery. For further programme details and tickets for the whole weekend please go to: https://rb.gy/6gbq7g
