Description

Like many contemporary improvising musicians, saxophonist Giuliano Pereira is the archetypal global citizen. He left his native Brazil in the late 90s and resided in New York and Madrid before settling in London in 2009. He has also performed in Canada, the U.S.A., Portugal, Spain, Angola, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bulgaria, Bahrain, Turkey France, Italy, Norway, Poland and Sweden.

Pereira has devoted himself to creating a unique compositional signature and a style of performance that reflects a fusion of global influences, from Western jazz to traditional Brazilian folk music.

The quartet features - Guiliano Pereira - tenor sax, Steve Lodder - piano, Matheus Nova - bass, and Marcinho Pereira - drums.
