We're very pleased to welcome Cath Edwards for a Storyteller Exchange on this evening.
As well as being a professional teller who's performed at festivals, clubs and also internationally, Cath runs Lichfield Storytellers, established the same year as the Feast of Fools; later in June Richard and Liz York will travel to Lichfield for a return visit.
After stories from Feast of Fools tellers in the first half, the floor is Cath's for "The Secret Path," entrancing tales that lead you deep into the forest?s secret and secluded places. Distilling themes of forbidden love, courage in desperate times and the significance of being different, these stories weave a rich green magic. There?s a woman who hides a deadly enigma, a newborn with the potential to transform the land, a man who is far more than the little he seems, and more.
We're promised that this mix of mainly traditional material will leave images that stay with us long after the story has ended.
The evening's mix will of course also include the famous Feast of Fools welcoming atmosphere and good company, the superb cakes and the far-better-than-the-average-type raffle, and all in the lovely Quaker Meeting House.
