Description

Montmorency return to Abingdon with their brand of upbeat folk music, intertwined with blues, country and rock influences. They have made a name for themselves over the last few years around Oxfordshire by taking old folk songs and reworking them for new audiences.

They released their debut EP, 'Live at Newt Studios', in 2022 and are the process of working on a new release for this year. Their show at the famous Burton Taylor Studio in the centre of Oxford earlier in the year was a sell-out, and with new material being added all the time, the show in Abingdon will allow for a larger audience to see and hear their unique sound.

The Unicorn Theatre is a wonderful Elizabethan style venue, well known for hosting great folk music acts over the years, and the perfect venue for watching live music whilst still retaining an intimate feel.

Montmorency will be supported by Katie Grace Harris. Katie is a multi-tasking, foot tapping, piano, dulcimer and accordion player. She's a singer and story-weaver with a fast-growing reputation in the UK Folk world. Her sound has been described as 'earthy, spine tingling English Folk'.
