Formed in the early 2000's, the Organisation worked with many of London's leading jazz musicians but did not become a regular quartet until they were joined by saxophonist Tony Kofi in August 2010. The Organisation's combination of both the bluesy soul jazz side, and their knowledge of the more modern post bop repertoire, worked perfectly with Tony's approach. Their aim became to play unacknowledged classics, many from Blue Note repertoire from the "60's and elsewhere. This approach was validated by the reception received for their 2018 debut album "Point Blank" (the title taken from the classic 1967 John Boorman film of the same name). Since its release they have played numerous sold out shows and they are currently preparing their follow up album to be released on newly formed record label "Mr PC Records" and will include tunes in the jazz, blues idioms.
