A half-day workshop in the great outdoors.
Keeping a sketchbook is an important part of an artist?s practice and this workshop shows how regular drawing and sketching can be a crucial part of the creative process, particularly when sketching the landscape.
Green Man Gallery Resident Artist Geoff Chilton has been keeping sketchbooks for many years and shows how everyday use can help you find your drawing style.
Bring your sketchbook to life by taking inspiration from the landscape, textures, foliage and closely observed objects in nature. There will be plenty of ideas on how to use your sketchbook as a creative tool. No previous experience is necessary. Bring a sketchbook; pencils & pens; watercolours if required.
The location is Grinlow Woods in Buxton Country Park on the edge of town. Parking available at Poole's Cavern, off Temple Road, Buxton.
