In this full-day workshop Green Man Gallery Resident Artist Geoff Chilton shows several methods to free up your landscape painting.
Using sketches and photos he demonstrates from start to finish how to incorporate different media on top of oil and acrylic paint to create loose and dynamic paintings. Learn how to use tone to add drama, with abrasive media to draw into your picture, and powerful ?gestural? marks to give intensity and emotion. Geoff shows how to loosen up your work and take a broader view of your painting.
Some abrasive materials will be provided for this workshop, but bring your own acrylic paints, brushes and palette. A small notebook or sketchpad may be useful too. There will be a break for lunch (not provided) of approximately 45 minutes
