We?re super-excited to be hosting UK techno-legend, DJ & label owner & producer Billy Nasty, the man who mixed the inaugural volume of the seminal ?Journeys by DJ? series, gaining him a notorious entry into the Guinness book of records for being the first DJ to produce a commercially available mix CD..
Billy has enjoyed an extensive recording career and runs two record labels highly regarded by a broad range of DJs and record buyers alike. With a career spanning 25 years, Billy continues to travel the world, lighting up dancefloors at some of the most prestigious events and infamous clubs across the globe.
From early beginnings playing rare groove and funk, to his first forays into acid house during his residency at London?s The Brain Club, onto regular slots at seminal London clubs such as Final Frontier, Open All Hours, Checkpoint Charlie & The Drum Club, to having played pretty much every Festival and club worth mentioning ever since, Billy has never lost his passion for music & continues to destroy dancefloors around the world.
In addition to his DJing, Billy has also maintained a strong production presence over the years. Early outings included Shi-Take (Pilgrimage to Paradise etc. with Zoom Records owner & producer Dave Wesson), Vinyl Blair (with Chemical Brothers/Leftfield engineer Steve Dub) & his various studio collaborations with Gregor Tresher and Anthony Rother on Datapunk, Nick Dunton (65D Mavericks), Keith Tenniswood (aka Radioactiveman) as RadioNasty & many others.
In 2013 Billy relaunched his legendary techno and electro imprints, Tortured and Electrix to critical acclaim. Billy continues to release essential, groundbreaking records on Electrix, which are a buy-on-sight for many dj?s & collectors.
This is guaranteed to GO OFF & will likely sell out, so get in early for cheaper early bird tickets.. We?re already looking forward to this one ? see you on the dancefloor!
