On the afternoon of Sunday 1st September, members of the late, great Raymond Froggatt's backing band make a rare live appearance to celebrate the ever-popular singer/songwriter.

In 1965 Raymond met with Lou Clark, Len Ablethorpe and H Cain to form a band - at that time in Birmingham they were surrounded by talented friends who were doing the same; Roy Wood, Jeff Lynn, Tony Iommi, Ozzie Osbourne, Bev Bevan, Carl Wayne, Trevor Burton, Steve Gibbons, Robert Plant - and in 1967 wrote his first hit followed by many more hits both here and abroad.  His songs have been covered by the likes of Cliff Richard, Dave Clarke, Daniel O'Donald, Gladys Knight and many, many more.

Playing every venue from large to small - from Ronnie Scott's in London to the Tulsa Ice Drome, the Elbow Room Birmingham to Wembley Arena - Raymond and his band played them all ... then COVID hit and things changed dramatically: no shows and no music. Without the love Raymond had for touring his health started to decline, he wanted to do one more show to say goodbye properly to the loyal following he & H had, knowing that his touring days where now over. Unfortunately this was not to be and Raymond asked his dear and closest friend if anything happened, if he was unable to do a show or two, would he still go ahead with them?

Now, one year on from his passing, H has asked a few of the previous members of the Band (Roger Brown - guitar/vocals, Tom Farnell - Drums, Phil Capoldi - percussion/vocal, Jamie Davy - Bass/vocal and Hartley Cain - Guitar) if they would like to have a night to play a show together in memory of Raymond, where the folks that travelled around to see Froggie could get together with the band, and have a night to remember The fun laughter tears we all share over the years.

So, to experience a fantastic show, with great songs spanning Raymond's 54 years in the business, make sure to make a date in your diary and we'd strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance as we're expecting high-demand.

Tickets are for ?general admission? giving you access to any available seating or standing areas. There is no assigned seating, any seating that is available can be taken on a first come first served basis.

Access to Joe Joe Jims via the front doors is on the level with the frontage and footpath without the need to negotiate any steps or changes in surface height.
