Claire Holdich flute recital alongside a Yorkshire Tapas Lunch!
Claire Holdich is a flute player based in Hull, East Yorkshire, Uk. As a passionate teacher and performer, she aims to help others on their own musical journey whilst continuing to find new and innovative ways to deliver music to a wide audience.
Claire graduated from the University of Hull with a first class degree in Music in 2004 where she was also awarded the Departmental Prize for outstanding musical achievement.Claire has been teaching singing, flute and music theory privately and in schools for over 15 years. She currently teaches at The University of Hull and for the Yorkshire Young Musicians project which offers advanced training for talented musicians across the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Since the pandemic, Claire has been exploring new ways to reach people with music. Every Sunday on Claire?s Youtube channel you will find the weekly livestream show Flutifull Time, a request show with a difference! As well as playing your favourite tunes from a whole range of genres, it's a space to chat about all things musical and share thoughts on things of interest, including Claire's hometown of Hull in East Yorkshire and her favourite beverage - Yorkshire tea! Claire began Flutifull Time in 2020 at a time when much of the world was in lockdown. It has quickly grown into a wonderful community who enjoy random chatter and value the sharing of live music.
Claire has also begun writing and producing her own music including two singles and an ep of improvisation tracks, all available to stream and download via bandcamp. She has also been collaborating across the globe with classical guitarist Evzen Burda and an ep of their work was released in June 2022.
