As the Summer draws to a close, we throw our hands in the air and shout from the rooftops as we celebrate 11 years of community ownership here at The Ivy House. To mark the occasion, we've curated two nights of our favourite live music from across the city, starting with night one as follows...
TUGBOAT CAPTAIN
Baroque-pop at it's absolute best. Tugboat Captain have evolved from the jangly, lo-fi of 2017 smash 'Don't Want To Wake Up On My Own', into multi-layered symphonic pop masters. Recent tunes 'Flash of Light' and 'Bosch' are prime examples of the outfit's limitless sonic scope, with horizons akimbo and hits a plenty still bubbling away within their very innards.
When not gracing stages across the world, they can be found at their Bermondsey HQ recording fellow future superstars, further baking themselves into the very fabric of the London music scene.
The cherry on top? They're all very lovely people.
SPECIAL GUEST TBA
We can't give this one away quite yet, but we will say that this groups harmonious, melodic ways with leave you bursting at the Spleen.
WILSHAW
Wilshaw is a project committed to creating honest and affecting music, filtered through their soulful and tender blend of indie rock, folk and pop.
CONUS SP. BENT
Folk guitars and pop melodies filtered through a leftfield structural view. 2023 album 'New Stile' is a glimpse into an artist playing with the very fabric of songwriting.
