Thornton Hough Village Club presents Wet The Tea plus Two Black Sheep.
Wet the Tea are Andy Connally (vocals, flute whistles, piano, guitar), Richey Hayden (mandolin, fiddle, tenor guitar), Anita Rochford (button box,, bass and vocals) and Ciaran Burke (bodhran, percussion). They are an instrumental act that combines traditional Irish roots with many other influences and creates something a little bit different. With bluegrass, English folk and modern elements thrown into the mix, their original song and tune sets are quite unique. Throw in some old gems with a difference and you get Wet the Tea.
Two Black Sheep are Amy Chalmers (violin, vocals) and Ian Davies (guitar, vocals). The duo are no strangers to THVC audiences, having chosen the venue to launch their acclaimed 2nd album 'The Earth Below' in January 2019. A third album = Anywhere Away From Here - was released earlier this year. Over the course of three albums Amy & Ian have perfected their unique brand of acoustic folk pop layered with an orchestral warmth that has become their trademark
