Local Guide Jean Watts will be recreating Jane Austen's Walk from Southampton to visit her friends the Lance Family of Chessel House, the walk will include a stop at the historic Peartree Church, inspiration for Thomas Gray's 'Elegy in a Country Churchyard'.
This is a five mile walk, plus a stop at lunchtime to view Peartree Church. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a packed lunch. Teas and Coffee will be available at Peartree.
