Alter is back after a summer break or another experiment in sacred space, in the nave of Highfield Trinity Church...
This time we'll be joined by Bethany Wells (Artists' Child) who will be taking us on a journey into the depths of the Costa Rican rainforest with a modular synth set inspired by Shipibo shamanic plant medicine ceremonies. For the first half of this set you are encouraged to lie down, bring a blanket if possible.
Plus projections on the church walls from Mad Hatters Lightshow.
After an opening check in there will be a non verbal period in the nave area of around 90 minutes. Make of all this what you will - move, sit, lie down, journal, create, rest, do whatever feels good and / or interesting. If it is neither good nor interesting try something different! Everything is an invitation and you are free to come and go as you please.
There will be a collective altar in the form of the bass sub. You are welcome to bring any meaningful objects or elements from nature you'd like to place there.
Tickets £6-£10 depending on finances - please support with the higher fee if you can to help sustain this experiment. No one turned away for lack of funds.
