Buckingham Choral Society is proud to present an evening of Edward Elgar's 'The Music Makers' and 'The Spirit of England'.
About the programme:
The Music Makers - Written at Elgar?s peak of compositional creativity, this extended, almost forty-minute cantata, is a choral work of deep personal meaning and reflection.
The Spirit of England - Set to war poems by Laurence Binyon. and although it has never gained the popularity or status of the major choral works that preceded it, in musical terms, though considerably shorter, it is their equal.
