Rapt established himself as a formidable musical force in Brighton's brutal Death Metal band 'Enslavement'.

Yet, since emerging from those visceral waters he has positioned himself at the forefront of the outwardly more serene pastures of the UK's re-emerging folk scene. Whilst the hard hitting aesthetic might have given over to the more dusky tones of his nylon strung tapestries, lyrically Rapt is an offering every bit as intense as that eviscerating genesis from which he emerged.

The new album "Until The Light Takes Us" is described by its creator as drawn from 'the dying days of love' and whilst that heaviness is an ever present monster in the depths of this work, one might be forgiven, at least on a cursory reading, for simply losing themselves in the elegance of its enveloping guitars and verdant composition.

A deeply rewarding record that marks a stark evolution in the career of this sophisticated artist.

With ''Until The Light Takes Us'' releasing via Z Tapes in 2025, Folk Boy Records is honoured to host the album launch show at The Ivy House on London's Stuart Road, February 27th 2025.
