The Razorblades, from Wiesbaden, Germany offers high energy surf punk that ranges from the Californian twang of Dick Dales to the surf punk of the Turbo ACs to modern rockabilly à la Brian Setzer. Wild, sweaty, energetic and faster than the police allows? sounds like DICK DALE on speed, the Pulp Fiction soundtrack in turbo mode or a 120 mph car chase on the California coast with loud punk rock on the car radio?no seatbelt attached!
Surfin? Lungs finally return to the stage for their first live appearance in six years.
Even legends have a beginning somewhere and the Lungs' lies in the heady days of 1981. It was then that a group of young beach rats - who knew each other from surfing the same coves along Bracknell's famous north shore and racing their hot-rods at the local strip - first came together to form the power-house of high octane guitar-licks and super-charged Farfisa that is the Surfin' Lungs.
Make sure to arrive early to catch ace Brighton surf combo, The Tridents, who you may have seen recently supporting The Surfrajettes in Brighton, or at one of their any other local shows. Expect raucous instrumentals, groovy murder ballads, and spaghetti westerns extravaganza. Oh? and there will be whistling!
Large Victorian free house with a number of rooms off the main bar.
Live music or a DJ every night.
Home-cooked, quality food is served every day.
Famous for the kissing policeman Banksy on the pub wall.
