Description
Join vOx for a concert of the music spanning 500 years of Passiontide motets. The drama and tragedy of the Easter story has inspired some of the most profound and moving responses from composers across the ages. This concert has two very different treatments of the Seven Last Words of Jesus on the cross by the Tudor genius Robert Fayrfax and the contemporary Dutch composer Daan Manneke. It also includes works by Josquin, Gesualdo's In Monte Olivetti and Olivier Messiaen's O Sacrum Convivium.
