We are delighted to once again to welcome the unique talent of Sunscreem back to Katie Fitzgeralds in Stourbridge
This is a very special event starting at 4pm featuring some of the UKs best dance acts.

Sunscreem are a techno/house music band from Essex, England that scored a number of hits on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart throughout the 1990s and into the 21st century. Sunscreem also has the rare reputation as a techno-based band that successfully performs concerts.

PEZA

Peza has been a part of the Nu-Disco and Re-edit scene for some time now, as well as having a very strong affinity with the darker, more acidic end of the musical spectrum. Remixes and collaboration credits include artists such as Gorillaz, Damon Albarn, Joe Goddard, Baba Ali, Greg Wilson, Black Grape, The Duke Spirit, Liela Moss, Dicky Trisco, Mike Smith (Gorillaz/Blur), amongst many others.

Often on his travels to festivals up and down the country, including regular appearances at Alfresco,Campo Sancho, Convenanza, Evil Acid Barons weekender and Beatherder, he regularly plays to crowds in European cities such as Ibiza, Berlin, Tirana and Vienna.

??Peza is also an integral part of Greg Wilson's 'Credit To The Edit' collective. Regularly DJ'ing alongside Greg, Derek Kaye and Henry Greenwood.

Expect to hear anything from Acid House, Nu-Disco, House, Electro....as long as it has that certain something! Always triving to keep his sets moving forward, he likes to construct edits of classic tracks and bring them to the fore in his sets, blending music together that you wouldn't necessarily expect, but somehow manages to pull off!

We continue to put on a wide range of music here at Katie Fitzgeralds from singer/ songwriters to Blues , Folk, Jazz, Rockabilly , Pop , Indie, metal and world music. We also host Katiesfest every year featuring a wide range of younger artists plus the Stourbridge Folk Festival and once a month Stourbridge Folk Club in the cellar bar .

Katie Fitzgeralds has built a reputation for live music and parties but it's about more than that its also about history and tradition.

Originally a private house the building is over 200 years old and has been a pub since the 1830 Beer Act.

In the 19th century it would have been home to foundry workers and boatmen and would have looked out across to the Stourbridge canal arm where Foster and Rastrick built the Stourbridge Lion the first steam locomotive to run on rails in the USA.

Originally known as the Golden Lion it later became known as the Stourbridge Lion and then in 2000 it
became our home and was renamed in honour of Trina's grandmother Katie Fitzgerald who was born in Cloyne County Cork.

Trina is related to Irelands most famous hurling player Christy Ring, a son of Cloyne and is also cousin of Donal ag Cusack , Irelands first openly gay sportsman.
