Ania is a comedian based in London. She?s a triple threat (bisexual, Gen Z, bad at cooking). Her sharp, wry writing combined with her warm conversational performance style make her a ?glittering new talent? (the i Paper) of the UK comedy scene.

Her 2023 stand up show, I Can?t Believe You?ve Done This, was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show, and sold out its entire Fringe run before the festival began. It received multiple 4 and 5 star reviews, with the Scotsman calling it a ?beautifully structured show? and Ania a ?truly original voice with an impressive set of skills?.

The show was included in British Comedy Guide?s ?Best reviewed Edinburgh Fringe Shows 2023? list and was the Number 1 pick in Time Out?s ?The 11 best comedy shows at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023?.

Description

For decades the Portland has been an essential part of the Cambridge live music scene welcoming local, national and international acts of all genres and backgrounds to play in our dedicated 200 capacity venue space.

Whether you are in a band and are looking for a venue to hold your own gig or are looking for a modern space to hold a meeting or gathering we can cater for groups of all sizes and requirements.

We have a full in house PA system and lighting with experienced sound technicians available to make sure your event sounds and looks great. The venue also has it’s own full-service bar, air conditioning and ‘green room’ space.

For smaller events we have 2 separate bars and a courtyard garden that can be hired independently.

Due to the age of the building the Portland is not easily accessible by wheel chair but we will endeavour to provide any help we can. Generally entry to the venue and public bar is no problem.
