FURROWED
Furrowed (producer / sound artist Dylan Beattie) 'tattoos sound' directly to blank vinyl records as multiple pickups trace evolving grooves. Using a handheld audio device he directly inscribes signals from tone generators, resampling the disc surface, environmental and other sounds. His unique performance approach creates unpredictable tones, rhythm and texture, whilst celebrating limitation in physical media.
