On Saturday May 3rd at Jamboree we present a night of Eastern European, Balkan, Gypsy, Classical, jazz and Latin-grooves!
Headliners Paprika fuse Eastern European, Balkan, Gypsy and Classical music in a whirlwind performance of frenzied virtuosity. With a line-up consisting of two accordions, violin, guitar, bass guitar, and percussion, their fiery melodies and foot-tapping rhythms are interspersed with lilting laments in high-energy sets, with the band specialising in bringing rare or lost traditional Balkan music back to life. "A must see!" ? Cerys Matthews, BBC
In support Inês Loubet plays compositions navigating through the influences of jazz, Latin-grooves and her native language, Portuguese. Inês has performed solo at Union Chapel and opened for Brazilian legends Gilberto Gil & João Bosco at the 02, and her projects have been praised by the likes of Gilles Peterson and The Line of Best Fit, as well as earning her several UK and international tours and radio appearances at Jazz FM and BBC Radio 3.
