The Rigmarollers
"Best gig of the festival.
You totally nailed it."
The Rigmarollers pack out exhilarating shows with a unique take on the blues. As a popular live band and regular festival headliners they're growing their following all the time.
???
Their songs get national radio play, with Cerys Matthews praising Sycamore Street on the BBC Radio 2 Blues Show and David Freeman picking Duck's Blood Breakdown for his Blues & Boogie show on Jazz FM.
???
Latest album 21st Century Speakeasy is a hit follow-up to the popular first single The Duke of Rent.
A trio with a massive sound, they put vocals, harmonica, guitar and sousaphone over an irresistible backbeat.
Harmonica virtuoso Ed Hopwood came up through acclaimed UK blues bands. Guitarist Julian Marshall has travelled far and wide across America and Europe to play with some of their finest musicians. Ewan Penkey is lauded for his mastery of the sousaphone and bass.
Together they blast out an original musical mix, bringing the party everywhere they play.
The Rigmarollers sell out gigs across London and the UK. Their festival CV includes Sidmouth Jazz & Blues, Fire in the Mountain, Ealing Blues, The Idler, Bimble Bandada, Purbeck Valley, Upton Blues, Leek Blues & Americana, among many others. ????
