Description

Andrea ?Govo? Govoni, singer, songwriter and musician, started his musical career in the early 2000s, going on stage at very young age, from clubs to theatres to big events for well-known names in the star system who were called to entertain their parties with his verve, vocality and knowledge of a vast repertoire of great international classics with mixed with his original songs.

More then twenty years and more then two thousand gigs, collaborating with names like Steven Adler from (Guns n?Roses), Paul Vangelisti (Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin poetry companion/author), Paul Di?Anno (Iron Maiden) opening and playing for and with Patti Smith , Alanis Morrisette, Chris Jagger (Mick Jagger brother) , Scarlet Rivera (Bob Dylan) Eric Andersen (Johnny Cash and Dylan), Sam Lych (John Lennon), David Richards (Bowie & Queen) The Ark, and obviously many other Italian artists.

After living in London in 2006, he returned to his hometown Modena and then moved permanently to Milan.

An eclectic entertainer, he performs his songs with his voice, piano and guitar, his shows are like a journey through time, full of emotions from a life lived on stage. He is soon to release his second album after the first ?C?era una volta Andrea Govoni? (Once upon a time Andrea Govoni) called "D'amore si nasce, si vive, si muore," and also a book of illustrated poems, "Cento giorni per pensare," distributed by Damster Edizioni Italia. After touring England, France, Germany, California, Greece, Turkey, and Italy this year with an MTV live Show, he will return to his beloved Camden town , accompanied by great musicians including members of the famous Italian band "Le Vibrazioni" to his favourite place the legendary ?Dublin Castle?, to bring his folk rock songs in an English version with some special guests.

Sinistrum - Dazzling folk acoustic trio with the guitar and cajon of Joe and Jackson providing the perfect support for Lydia?s rich, chocolatey vocals. They?ve penned a set of original songs that are so addictive you?ll be hooked after a single exposure, and they?ll no doubt treat us to some classic covers too. Not to be missed.

Viewed Upon Death - post hardcore, post rock but very much currently groovy. With some psychedelic touches that are redolent of Saucerful Of Secrerts era Pink Floyd at that.

Description

The Dublin Castle is a legendary pub and music venue located 2 minutes away from Camden Town tube station. It has been run by the same family for over 28 years and features 4 live bands every night as well as a great selection of beers, ciders and wines.

There are DJs after the bands on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and a fabulous jukebox in the front bar if you’re after a more relaxed atmosphere.

But what is it that makes the Dublin Castle the long-standing centre of the indie rock universe? Is it because it’s Madness’ birthplace? Because its stage has been graced by everyone from Blur, through Coldplay, Supergrass, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys, Billy Bragg, etc? Is it because it was no surprise to see Amy Winehouse behind the bar serving costumers? Or Suggs? (who, mind you, tended to ignore costumers and serve himself) Or is it because far from being just another Camden venue it has established itself as an indie rock institution? The answer is that it’s not only because of its musical heritage that people come to the Dublin Castle, it’s because whilst you enjoy a pint, play some tunes on the jukebox, check out the live bands, get your dancing shoes on for our DJs, chat to our friendly staff or even stage-invade a little, you’re inadvertently being part of this movement the Dublin Castle leads, this cultural legacy. Expect no castle battlements. Just pure rock and roll royalty.
