Description

Roger Davies is singer/songwriter who plays simple yet extremely affecting soulful songs of love and life. The old saying 'you can take the man out of Yorkshire but you can't take Yorkshire out of the man' certainly applies to Roger. Like a modern day musical LS Lowry, he writes songs that celebrate the places and people he has grown up with, having been born and raised in Brighouse.
Roger is also a late-developing artist whose work is becoming increasing popular, to an extent that he mostly works on commissions (search for him on YouTube being interviewed on BBC). His art will be on display during the day, alongside a number of professional artists from the Peak District Artisan and Derbyshire Open Arts groups. Ticket price includes entry to the exhibition, from 10:00 to 16:30. So arrive early, have a browse and maybe buy some art, have a meal at one of the nearby hostelries such as The George, and make a day of it!
