The last Monday of every month here is Not Only But also The Blues where we feature some of the finest exponents in the south west, and beyond, of music whose roots are in the blues. This is the last one of the year, and it deserves something special. He's played here solo this year, but it's time to welcome back, the full?
Adam Sweet Band
Guitarist and singer/songwriter Adam has featured here at our Not Only but Also the Blues night several times. Balancing richly detailed song writing with expertly piercing guitar work, he released his second album 'Sink or Swim' in 2020. With brooding ballads and rollicking roots rock he delivers honest tales of loss, longing and hope as he continues to carve out his own territory between classic rock, blues and Americana. Always a fabulous watch and listen. Tonight, he's joined by his band?
Since being crowned Introducing Stage winners at The Great British Rock and Blues Festival in 2023 the Adam Sweet Band has been rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the tightest units on the circuit. They have built on their success with triumphant performances at venues and festivals across the UK including London?s 100 Club, the Brudenell Social Club, Sidmouth & Rye International Jazz & Blues Festivals, Upton Blues Festival and they have supported the likes of Wishbone Ash, Kris Barras Band and Elles Bailey. In 2025 they were nominated in the category of ?UK Blues Emerging Act of the Year? at the UK Blues Awards.
