Knutsford Little Theatre

Knutsford Little Theatre has been a cornerstone of the town’s cultural and artistic life for over a century. Originally founded in 1925 as the Knutsford Amateur Dramatic Society, the group performed in various local halls before securing its permanent home on Queen Street, converting a former blacksmith's forge into a dedicated performance space. Over the decades, the theatre has evolved through extensive volunteer-led renovations into a beloved community hub. For patrons with mobility preferences, the theatre offers level, flat, wide access directly from the entrance through to the front four rows of the auditorium. The auditorium features an intimate 11-row seating arrangement, lettered row A directly at the stage through to row M at the back (omitting the letter I to prevent confusion). Most rows accommodate 9 seats, divided by a central aisle located between seats 4 and 5 in each row. Row D omits seats D1–D4 to accommodate the main entrance walkway, while seats B1, B2, C1, and C2 are removed to create a dedicated, spacious wheelchair area. The front five rows (A through E) are entirely flat and level with the floor, with raised rake seating beginning from row F upwards. Due to the open entranceway directly in front of them, taller patrons can benefit from extra legroom by booking seats E1–E4, with row A serving as the best alternative option. The remaining seats whilst offering no less legroom than many other theatres can be a bit tight if over 5'10"
