About Hedgemead Park Bandstand

A quintessential Victorian 2 hectare (5 Acre) park realised following a landslide destroying houses in 1870s.

Situated within walking distance of the city centre, this park offers shaded areas for a stroll in the park, fine rose displays and many beautiful trees and shrubs. The park was formally opened in 1889.
