April Moon is a Canadian duo currently residing in the UK to do some recording. While here, they are soaking up influences from some amazing local artists and playing cosmic pub rock in the Northwest both as a duo and with their rockin bass player Tino & local drummer
The Union is a traditional local pub serving quality cask ales, refreshing lagers and ciders. Everybody's welcome.
This is a lively but comfortable one roomed pub opposite the Houldsworth Mill with a stone and brick exterior common to the area (see the nearby St Elizabeth’s church for a fine example). Although open planned the lounge room is broken up into separate areas, including a vault type area with a TV for the sport, with photos of old movie stars and Manchester United teams and legends on the walls and above the bar. It is over 21s only on Friday and Saturday nights when there is entertainment on, including karaoke. While at these times the pub is not necessarily the place if you want a quiet pint you can always sit in the very pleasant well tended garden to the rear.
Whilst every effort goes into ensuring this gig listing is accurate and up to date, always check with the venue before you travel.
