The Kennet Accordion Orchestra has been established for over thirty years, comprising enthusiastic accordionists of mixed playing abilities from Hungerford, Newbury, Kintbury, Swindon and Great Somerford.
Our common passion for the accordion has enabled the Orchestra to perform at numerous venues supporting local charities and fund raising activities, as well as competing at a number of Music Festivals nationally. Also we have had several international tours, performing at some quite stunning venues.
The Town Gardens were laid out as a public space in the late-19th and early-20th centuries on the site of old stone quarries. Further developments took place in the mid-20th century.
