On this day in 1909, the World learned that explorer Robert Peary had successfully reached the North Pole........ it was bloody cold apparently! It's also Bulgarian Unfication Day and the 302nd anniversary of the first American lighthouse. But all this is mere trivia compared to the return of Speakeasy Bootleg Band to Liverpool's amazing Caledonia (L7 7DX).
