Description

Whether it is playing their own original songs at concert venues or playing standard cover songs at your local dive bar, the After Hours is a band that just loves playing music more than anything in the world.

The After Hours is an American music group that consists of vocalist/ pianist, Kady Malloy and vocalist/ Guitarist Randy Rost as its primary members.

Kady Malloy and Randy Rost met teaching lessons at a music school in Houston, Texas.

Both Kady and Randy had enjoyed their own respective musical careers as writers and performers in various cover bands and original projects.

Both musicians began their careers during their teenage years taking them on many tours throughout the United States and Europe.

Having signed her first recording contract with Universal records at 15 years old, Kady Malloy experience a great deal of notoriety during the 2009 season of American Idol as a finalist which parlayed to her moving to Nashville where she wrote and recorded numerous albums under her own name and with the country/ rock duo, Young and Wylde , which toured extensively throughout the United States.

Randy Rost started his first punk rock band at 15 years old as well. As soon as his band, Blackmarket Syndicate, began recording and releasing their own records Randy began booking shows for the group and embarking on many lengthy North American tours, eventually landing him in New York City where he joined the legendary Roger Miret and the Disasters. After Writing and recording the groups album "Gotta Get Up Now", the band continued to tour relentlessly throughout the United States and every country in Europe. After the touring for the record was concluded, Rost decided to return to his Hometown of Houston, Texas where he met and began to work with Kady Malloy.

Kady and Randy began playing in cover bands together. They both immediately realized that in spite of their profoundly different musical backgrounds, that they had a wealth of common ground in their tastes in classic rock, country, motown, soul, folk, and pop.

It was then, that they decided to cultivate their similar loves for these styles into their own group, the After Hours.

Malloy's shimmering operatic vocal delivery and Rost's raspiness meet somewhere in the middle with a glorious juxtaposition of pop perfection and genuine rock n roll authenticity. With a combined total of nearly 40 years of live music experience, the After Hours is truly an act that will continue to endure and hold its love for pure honest music in the highest regard while delivering a fun unforgettable evening with every show they play.
