How many jazz musicians does it take to glue a surrealist onto a washing machine? To find the answer you need to visit Liverpool's Albert Dock........ because..... On Sunday 7th April, the prestigious Tate Liverpool have put Speakeasy Bootleg Band in the frame for their series of monthly jazz brunches. We are in the spacious cafe, surrounded by the colourful designs of Sir Peter Blake and the delicious aromas of brunch classics such as poached eggs with smoked salmon and American-style pancakes alongside the usual seasonal lunch menu. It all kicks off at 11am and finishes at 1. Free to get in btw. Running from April to December we play every other month, alternating with the incredible Manouchetones, so this promises to be an exceptional run of gigs in a sophisticated and unusual venue.
