In 1951, William Shockley revealed the transistor..... on a Wednesday. It's also the day when the Earth is generally furthest from the Sun and it won't happen again until 2024. So why all this fuss about Thursday 4th July?...... Obvious isn't it! It's the next time Speakeasy Bootleg Band comes steaming into Liverpool's amazing Caledonia (L7 7DX) for our monthly session of fun, frolics and musical bogsnorkelling. As well as superb music, the beer's brilliant too ..... and the food's a legend in its own lunchtime. There's loads of floor space too, so turn up in droves, dance away your blues, ram the place to the doors and help us celebrate our independence from America .......
