FRIDAY HEADLINER:

Tygers Of Pan Tang
In the May 1979 issue of Sounds magazine, the term 'New Wave of British Heavy Metal' was used to describe the second wave of heavy metal bands that emerged in the late 1970s.

It was an era considered to be a major foundation stone for many metal genres. The pioneers of NWOBHM who have had a major influence with their musical style include Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Saxon, Diamond Head and Tygers of Pan Tang.

SATURDAY HEADLINER:

Praying Mantis
Originally formed in 1973 by the Troy brothers, Tino and Chris, Praying Mantis became one of THE most influential bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). The band is also one of a very small number of bands from that era to have remained a going concern over the intervening years and to still record and appear live regularly.
